The latest rumors from the internet (originating from CanardPC) is that Intel are actually very worried indeed about AMd's upcoming ryzen lineup of processors,
Despite telling the public and investors they believe Kaby Lake is ample, behind closed doors Intel are actually pretty concerned. While it is possible Kaby lake does have the clock speed advantage, Ryzen is said to have a significant thread advantage, leaving the pricing and performance between the two chips to question.
Given Intel's currently roughly in the same ballpark of AMD Ryzen in benchmarks, it'll be an interesting few months
