Lets make a run for it in the global version of DFFOO with the return of Desch and his new FR weapon as well as Machinas c90 awakening. Desch was always are rather average char to use his dmg mitigation based on his magic ofr physical stance is really nice the thunder partywide enchant as well and his chance to paralyse is a nice gimmick as well, sadly all what Desch does other chars can do as well and often more consistent but that doesnt mean you cant use him. His FR asks for thunder dmg and that paralysed enemies take a turn which is ok but a bit ahkward. The alltime favorite medusaheads return as the bosses here and they still do all the stuff people loved the first time around.

The Shinryu stage challenges with 2 medusaheads as earlier mentioned and their gimmick is that they will petrify everytime they deal at least 7k brv dmg to their target in 1 hit, which can be prevented with dmg reduction of tanks or other units like Desch etc. Their forcegauge fills through out the fight and on thresholds will apply a int brv down aura to the field which can be annoying but isnt that rough to counter, when they reach 100% forcegauge they enter forcetime with a brv+hp attack into the grp that ignores HP dmg reduction and gains 80% brv dmg and kinda prishes LD effect that they will get an additional brv attack after each brv attack they do for 4 turns. You can interupt their forcetime by entering your own with a thunder melee attack, if you can keep up the brv dmg reduction so they arent able to petrify you the rest will fall into place consider that when you prepare your team. Auron Selphie and Kam'Lanaut put them into their place once again.
