Developed and published by Andromeda in 1984

Recording this game proved to be a bit of a nightmare, thanks to the number of broken or incomplete copies out there. Most caused CPU jams and fell over between loading sections, and the only working copy had a cracking group's name emblazoned all over the place, so it seems rather ridiculous that a 7 minute video took nearly 12 hours to record! The end product is an amalgamation of the various versions, trying to give as complete a longplay as possible.

Interview is a curious game that's kind of a mash-up of Paperboy and Trashman. The objective is to get to a job interview on time, avoiding manholes, stray dogs (and their poop) and falling pot plants.

Make it to the bank, withdraw some cash, then get yourself spick and span for the interview itself. You need to patch up the holes in your suit at the tailor, scrub it clean at the dry-cleaners, then get a new pair of shoes from the shoe-maker. Once you're kitted out, you need to find the correct building in the city where the interview is taking place!

There's also some discrepancy over when the game was released; some sources quote 1992, while others believe it was 1984. Looking at the visual style and music used, I would go with the latter - it feels much earlier than 1992.

As a game it's nothing to write home about, but it's certainly novel. I'd never have thought making a game about attending an interview would be a thing, but here we are!
