In this unfortunately BRUTALLY HONEST and a bit longer review video and new episode of Into the Deep with Lorelei, I review two different music videos (one being an official lyric video, the other being the actual official music video) of the brand new single of "Lowest In Me" by Staind, while recognizing that @staindvideos has NOT RELEASED ANY NEW MUSIC FOR OVER 12 YEARS!
Also, I mention that I do not support the band anymore due to @AaronLewisTV's political viewpoints, and while I see some perspectives from this song's lyrical content and the creative imagery in the lyric video, especially when you see the car crash of Trauma and Innocence happening in said video, the official video was unfortunately a bit too much and brought out some unlocked core memories while I was reacting to the official music video, and should've at least added trigger warnings or something in the beginning of the music video.
While the band's music in the beginning of my teen years had helped me a lot, I unfortunately do not even listen to their music anymore after Aaron's coming out as conservative/right-winger, etc., and it's even made me very uncomfortable to even consider continuing to listen to any more of their music, let alone check out new music that they'll be releasing when their new album comes out later this year or in 2024, whenever their actual release date is going to be, especially due to the lead singer's political viewpoints.
And being a non-binary trans woman who's considered a independent leftist and very progressive, I don't even want to listen to the music, especially after my very visible reaction to the traumatizing visual imagery in the official music video showing some serious abuse in the mental health system, so the band need to rethink their approach, and while I applaud the lead singer's recovery from whatever active addiction he's going through, it's not okay to shift blame unto others and not take responsibility for his actions through the lyrics that he's written in the music, from what it sounds like here.
I won't be reviewing any more of his music or the band's music from here on out. This was too traumatic for me. Y'all can go ahead and buy their music or whatever, if you like the band, but I won't have it here on this channel.
