Any who have not played this game (and maybe some who have that weren't the most exploratory) probably won't have seen THIS coming from a seemingly innocuous pipe in the ground. I mean, the last pipe took us to a pretty normal area. this however, led to something MUCH deeper and more mysterious.

This is BY FAR the most interesting, beautiful, and unsettling area of the game, all meshed into one. Also before you say anything, yes future me does know the significance/purpose of this area. For any who don't know, don't worry. I'll make it a point in a later video to show when the bells and whistles all click together. You too will know what this deep subterranean network is all about.

But yeah... holy s*** this felt like it was on a whole other level to the rest of the game so far. Not just in terms of the levels of the enemies, but the atmosphere and weight to the chasm. You get the feeling that you stumbled on something much larger than yourself. Something... ancient.

And given what the place actually is, that's not far off the mark.
