Intro to Warhammer 40k: DARK TIDE
0Move over WWZ, there a new FPS that has stolen my heart. I knew about this game when it was still in BETA, but I never pulled the trigger to purchase and download it. I'm sorry that it took me so long. Warhammer 40k Dark Tide is a MUST for anyone that loves FPS but with a little twist. There's classes of characters that will fit any play style. I tend to like supportive roles so I chose a Psyker; the "head popper". Low dexterity but high damage. I stay in the back of the group doing AOEs that decimate oncoming hoards.
As far the story goes, I don't know much about Warhammer. I've never played it before, even as a board game. However, the nuisances of this game keep it a step above the usual FPS. It's not as repetitive as WWZ and there's a lot more to unlock. The maps are expansive and there's several side quests you can do as well. You can also choose the difficulty of the mission, so if you are a newb like me, you can choose a mission where you won't instantly die and rage quit.
