The world's largest festival of ideas and music is back - HowTheLightGetsIn returns to London this September 18/19th!

The ongoing lifting of restrictions, along with the successful vaccine rollout, has enabled us to announce the return of our first physical festival in two years.
In the glorious grounds of Hampstead Heath, you'll find the world's leading thinkers debating today's biggest ideas, as well as a spectacular array of musicians and performers.

Across 200+ events, we'll bring together superstar philosophers, trailblazing scientists, award-winning writers, and political giants to tackle the most pressing issues of our times. Join discussions designed to push the limits of what you know with speakers hand-picked for their creativity and insight.

The unique festival site will also play host to an incredible line-up of musicians and side-splitting live comedy. With award-winning singer-songwriters, soulful jazz, world music and up-and-coming DJs, these acts rival the best of any indie music festival.

The comedy programme is unexpected and brilliant - find the absurd, charming, quirky and philosophical. Let HowTheLightGetsIn London 2021 introduce you to up-and-coming acts and cult favourites alike.

Students and Under-25s can get 30% off, and anyone can secure their place with a deposit on their festival pass.
