Released on November 21, 2014 by United Independent Entertainment GmbH and created by VIS, Passing Pineview Forest is a free mini-prequel set in the universe of Pineview Drive. If you enjoy walking around a shadowy forest with ambient sounds, sudden music to startle you, and the feeling something is always right behind you (or was it in front?), this game is for you.
Controls are fairly limited compared to most horror, but since you mostly just walk through the game, this isn't necessarily a bad thing. W and S for forward and back, with A and D to strafe, with no crouch or run, but F for a flashlight. The mouse rotates your view but clicking either button does nothing.
Behind the abandoned house on Pineview Drive lies ominous Pineview Forest. The dark, foreboding forest trail leading directly to the Pineview property must be explored – but your every move and reaction is being watched. You must stay calm during your walk – or else IT will take you! To survive you will need steady nerves; will I pay for my fear with my very life? Let's play Passing Pineview Forest and see.
