One of the biggest top to bottom feature of IOS 5 is it not longer requires a computer. Users can now activate and restore previous backups from iCloud directly from the box. iOS 5 also now will update via delta load, meaning you no longer will need to download the entire update, and you can do this without connector to a computer. Lastly, for when you do want to sync to your computer, you can now do so without a cable.
