iRacing - Street Cars at Charlotte Motor Speedway (Race 4)
1My 4th race in iRacing and my 2nd at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.
My race report:
Following on form my disastrous race at Charlotte the night before, I had my best run in iRacing yet, finishing 6th and on lead lap. After staying in formation for the first few laps, the no10 car in front of me hit the no6 in front of him, causing him to fall right back into me, spinning him right back into the field behind me.
The following few laps involved me discussing the morality of the no10 wreck, eventually concluding there is nothing I could have done (to make me feel better, obviously). On lap 10 the no15 car got below the white line, spinning him out right in front of me. Just around the corner, the no8 smashed right into the no10 car that had hit the wall - causing an outburst of stereotypical Scottishness.
As the race went on, the no1 car caught right up to me and I thought he was going to pass, but on lap 15 he cut the grass and hit the wall, leaving me clear for the moment. The last lap involved a pretty close fight between me and the no4 car, but he couldn't overtake me and I finished 6th.
