Hi Jimmy I was wondering overall do you think it is better to complete a Computer Science degree (3 more years) or attend a 13 week programming boot camp. I was thinking of attending www.fullstackacademy.com in NYC has very good reviews tuition is about $15,000 which I have in the bank. I am also set to start summer classes for Computer Science degree in 2 weeks but as you know it will take a lot longer, especially since I have to take classes such as Calculus 3 and Calculus based Physics 2 (Electricity and Magnetism) to get admitted into the Computer Science department at my University and also all the classes for this degree have to be taken in sequential order. I will not finish until May 2019. Now money is not a concern for either one. For the degree I have the Post 9/11 GI Bill because I served in the U.S. Armed Forces so they pay me $1,247.40 a month for housing, and $700/year for books and also pays tuition. I also get $5775 per year for Pell Grant. Now knowing all of this do you think it is better for me to finish college or go to a bootcamp. I think the bootcamp will get me a job faster and I will be gaining experience over the next 3 years so my salary will be higher at that time. I don't like living poor like I'm doing now for $1250 a month for the next 3 years but the pell grant is a nice bonus too. Thanks for your help.
