Well.... Yeaaaah... Prepare for Salt! IJN DD's, do they suck as bad as people say they do or are they balanced?

There is no "Overall" or "By Server" ranking stats in this iteration because I'm looking at ways to automate the tallying of trophies. It has taken me this long to automate the ranking structure within OpenOffice Calc so as not to have to do it all manually.

As for the question as to "is it balanced?" Well, IJN DD's are dominant up to T5. At T6 things are pretty closed to balanced but T7 on they start taking a second place and finally a last place role among DD's. Unlike the BB discussion where gameplay is similar, DD's are VERY different across all three nations. The high tier ships ALL become more "well rounded" as they go on. IJN starts off VERY torpedo focused, USN starts off as close range ambush ships and the Russian DD's are all long range gunners with ambush torps and the speed to disengage to where the guns can keep up with maneuvering.

Honestly, I think IJN DD's are fine. They are VERY powerful when played to their strengths, the problem is that few people play with the guns at all and that seriously limits their ability to do damage and get XP in the new economy. This artificially tweaks the stats some in spite of the VERY capable guns to influence the damage and XP stats.

I really feel like high tier IJN DD players underplay the ships too much.
