I recently bought the S5IIX and one of its intriguing features is the ability to record to an external SSD over USB-C. After using the camera for awhile, I've found that I'd much rather record to the Ninja V monitor. But, if I want to strip things down and go lightweight, I might still want the SSD in order to record in ProRes. In this video, I discuss my thinking on this, and design a bracket to hold an external SSD....it then morphed into a mini handle.
