MLS continues to grow in the United States but in comparison to that of the powerhouse leagues like the Premier League and La Liga, it lacks a strong style of play. The pace simply does not compete with the leagues over in Europe and MLS knows that elements of the game need to change for soccer in America to become a bigger sport. David Villa recently joined NYCFC as part of the group of European footballers who come to the USA to retire, which poses a problem in terms of talent across MLS as a whole. TYT Sports recently had the opportunity to talk to Villa as well as NY Cosmos COO Erik Stover about all of the above.
