03:25 Tulip Siddiq | The war has unified the West

When Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine, one thing was clear: the West's response was unified and decisive. Ukraine were armed comprehensively and the most severe sanctions imposed on any major economy were immediately implemented. Ten months on, with Western sanctions taking their toll on Europe, high inflation, tensions along the Chinese-Taiwan border, and a deepening cost of living crisis at home; our ideas of who we are, what we value, and who we support, could now all be under threat.
What should our response be to this new found state of affairs? Is the West in danger, or will its unity endure the hardship of the current situation it faces?
Labour MP and Shadow Economic Secretary to the Treasury, Tulip Siddiq, renowned cultural critic Theodore Dalrymple, and former director of operations and intelligence for the British Secret Intelligence Service, Nigel Inkster lock horns. Myriam François hosts.
