Today we talked about two very different things - first, what makes games fun. In order for a game to be good, it has to have something special about it that sets it apart from other games, usually some mechanic that people can point to as the source for the fun. Even if you copy someone else, you need to put your twist on it to be a good game.
Second, we gave a brief intro to Unreal Engine 4, showing how to navigate around inside the world. We went over translation, rotation, and scaling of objects, how to place objects in the world, and how to add materials to them.
