Today we talked about what we'll be doing this semester in CSCI 1 - Critical Thinking and Computer Science.


First of all - always be polite, positive, and respectful to your fellow students! We will be interacting a lot with each other in class, and nuance gets lost online.


The three main topics we'll be covering this semester are:
1) Computational Thinking (habits of mind that computer scientists develop)
2) Critical Thinking (being able to look at logical arguments and break them down)
3) Social Issues in Computer Science (looking at the effects of computer science on society and determining if they are positive or negative)
