Well…it’s now January 2nd (I meant to post this yesterday but I was way too tired so I apologize for that) and it is now officially (I think) sadly…the end…of #fearlessyearofshadow….it hurts me quite deeply to announce the end of one of the most-if not THE MOST-exciting times and campaign as a Sonic fan in my life…#fearlessyearofshadow not only has reinvigorated my love for the character but reawakened my hype and love for this peak IP as a whole…if it wasn’t for this massively successful campaign by Sega, things probably wouldn’t have turned out like this…I am beyond grateful to have experienced such immaculate stuff that came out of this whole thing. As much as I love Silver and Sonic (and trust I do, they’re the best characters) I absolutely love Shadow…he is by far the best character in the entire franchise…I love basically everything about him…the lore, origin, story, drive, design, powers—everything. He’s just THAT guy, he’s so freaking epic….and he had an amazing spotlight in 2024…that was by far his best year EVER, rightfully deserved…but now unfortunately the spotlight on him now dims as his amazing campaign comes to a close…what a wonderful year it was for the Ultimate Lifeform…but while Sega may not put him in the limelight after today, I encourage all of you, especially the true Shadow fans, to keep the light on him and to never forget what we got from the campaign. Sega may not acknowledge him in such a massive scale like 2024, but I will. I think y’all should too. One year is simply not enough to encapsulate the massive awesomeness Shadow possesses. So while I bid farewell to the #fearlessyearofshadow , I will not stop projecting the Ultimate Lifeform in any capacity. To me he has a place just as big and close to Sonic in any year. He deserves to be on the podium next to Sonic at all times. So know this; while the #fearlessyearofshadow may be over, I’m not stopping on talking, posting, and sharing my passion for Shadow the Hedgehog. So expect the same amount of appreciation for the character going forward as much as I showed last year. That train is not slowing down anytime soon, not as long as I can help it.
