Picbot is setting up augmented reality photo booths in Taiwan (and maybe the USA). The idea is to use silly photo filters (they also partner with facebook) and they let you have a futuristic photo booth experience.
MIFLY allows you to create your own AR experiences. You can use one of their animated characters or you can import your own fbx file with animations... then you simply take a real-world photo to use as the map for your character- just watch the damn video.
