It's Time to Switch Gears
20Hey guys, new year, new update! Here are the points I go over in the video.
REASONS FOR CHANGING
-getting married has changed my perspectives and priorities (hobbies like video games are not as fun anymore)
-turning 30 is messing with me (feeling like I am running out of time)
-going through a creative "midlife crisis" (I want to finally feel peace with what I am doing)
-tired of trying to make it on my own
-my projects are just not working
-success means different things to me
-I'm proud of what I have accomplished in these 11 years of internet content creation
-It its time to change directions
-cutting back on future plans and projects
-searching for jobs in my field that related to my college degree
-looking for graphic design, video editing, and managing jobs
-time I need to focus on my career rather than my personal projects
HOW WILL THIS IMPACT CJCUYPERS, KENSHIN STUDIOS, and GOJIFAN93
CJCUYPERS
-cutting back on a lot of projects
-only focusing on a handful that I feel can still break through
-I will discuss those projects after this segment
KENSHIN STUDIOS
-I've been a little absent from the group
-figuring out my life the last few months
-wanting to make more time for the team, the projects and the studio
-feel like I have not given Kenshin Studios my full attention due to so many other distractions
-I'm not going anywhere, I'm staying in Kenshin Studios
GOJIFAN93
-has been my main priority for the majority of this year
-was excited about the relaunch
-taken too much time away from my other projects
-expecting more success than it has been given
-my own expectations have been making me disheartened
-going to try and slow down
-being honest with myself that YouTube is just not going to be the breadwinner for me
-going into what it would take to make it a real job (making more than $2000 a month to replace or supplement my current job)
-changing direction to really have it as a hobby and not a job
-less in-depth work on the channel and just being real and more of how the videos were back then (less flashy editing)
-will continue the channel as long as fate has it
FUTURE PROJECTS
-as stated before, I'm simply tired of making things happen
-I am happy with my accomplishments but it has not made it to the point where I can make them a viable thing
-need to focus on other aspects of my career field
-trimming projects to a handful
-3 main projects that I will be making a recruiting video for due to wanting a team
-emergence of monsters was not a success
-I don't really know where to go with EOM now
-due to EOM flopping, it was disheartening and I lost a bit of enthusiasm for it
-will return later with more updates regarding EOM
