I didn't even realize I owned Salt and Sanctuary until recently; I must have purchased it years ago. I don't know if it's a metroidvania, but it's also on several lists of Soulslike games that at the very least takes its aesthetic from Dark Souls style games. I've also been informed the combat is tough, unforgiving, and brutal. So, I imagine this'll be quite the firsthand education!
