Welcome,

Rajang in GenU was pretty different compared to Rise (and I assume Iceborne) and it really likes to shoot its beam attack. I think it’s because this game makes monsters more likely to use their ranged attacks if you are far, where Rise/Sunbreak is more likely to have them close the distance instead.
