I remember Slimer pretty affectionately from the cartoons. He seemed a bit more like a mischievous dog rather than anything malicious. He would always go after Peter, but y'know, Peter always had it coming and it was really hard to not cheer when that happened. Because I was a kid and I didn't have to understand what was going on to think someone getting a face full of green slime was hilarious, that's why Nickelodeon was genius.

I'm also like 85% sure he was marketing gold.

But then I had to try to catch him three times. **** that green potato thing.
