It means, despite Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s understandable bullishness, all the talk of easing lockdown restrictions needs to be considered very carefully. For all our good work so far, complacency about the threat of the virus could lead to many more deaths, and a second wave of COVID-19 in Australia, especially in winter, might easily turn into a wipe-out.
