Japanese Phrases FREE supports the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad and does not require a network connection (except for the few videos). It has an attractive user interface and comes with enhanced graphics. The lessons include all Hiragana, some Katakana and a selection of grammar lessons to help users pick up conversational Japanese. Favorite phrases can be saved to your study bank or emailed. Users can view the phrases they aren't familiar with, more often, by the spaced repetition of phrases. The search tool is useful in looking up a word or phrase in Japanese, romaji, or English.

1 Fixes the iPad Vertical problem (it would sometimes show the horizontal view while vertical--this of course made it difficult to use)
2 Rerecorded over 100 sound files for quality (mostly in the Katakana section--thanks G Des!)
3 (iPhone) Now swipe to change cards in the Study card AND Flashcard. In Flashcards, tap to flip.
4 Some minor UI changes to the iPad version.
