In the process of me talking about her recent Facebook post, I thought that this would be the perfect time to turn it into my official response of Antia Sarkeesian's "Tropes Versus Women In Video Games Part 1: Damsel in Distress".

I talk about the video itself and how she gets things incorrect, how she tries to spin anything into a sexist form of the trope, how she has shown a pattern of being inaccurate, and why we shouldn't just call any usage of the trope sexist by default.

I am planning a second part that will deal with the reactions to this video, including the internet hate campaign that came about when she announced the Kickstarter project, the disallowing of feedback on her YouTube channel, my battles with the people on Neogaf in greater detail, and more.
