The Winnipeg Jets 1.0 were a hockey team that was founded at the beginning of the WHA. Most notably, the Jets signed NHL star Bobby Hull to a One Million Dollar contract that brought instant credibility to the league. The Jets also really kicked off the European invasion of untapped hockey talent by bringing in several notable names (Anders Hedberg, Ulf Nilsson - among others) to change the way the game was played.
