At the final race of the 1992 NASCAR Busch Grand National Series, Joe Nemechek and Bobby Labonte were at a close points battle heading to Hickory Motor Speedway. Joe Nemechek had some heavy damage to his Texas Pete's chevy after some major incidents with Jimmy Spencer (Later in the race, NASCAR Parked Jimmy for wrecking Joe). At the end of the race, Bobby Labonte won the race but not the championship, instead Joe Nemechek won "the war" and the 1992 Busch (now Xfinity) Grand National Series by 3 points.
