beautiful melodic music by modern composers. This Naxos cd contains original works for euphonium and (large) orchestra by the composers
Kevin Kaska, John Golland, Vladimir Cosma, Peter Graham and Philip Spark.
Another favorite of mine is Kaska's "Ballade" where the euphonium plays the major role, the oboe a secondary and a minor role by the flutes. The New Zealand symphony orchestra (Bruce Hangen) is excellent.
This is not just for euphonium or winds lovers. I think everybody who likes melodic symphonic music will enjoy this cd.
