John Oliver of Last Week Tonight and Conan O’Brien both ripped into Daily Fantasy Sports this week, airing comedic and realistic commercials regarding sites like FanDuel and DraftKings.
"New York State's top prosecutor on Tuesday filed for a temporary injunction that would shut down daily fantasy sports leaders DraftKings and FanDuel in the state in the latest blow to the fast-growing, multibillion-dollar industry."

Legislation passed in 2005 made online gambling, made popular through sites like Bodog, illegal in the United States, but exempted Fantasy Sports, well before DFS became an industry. DFS then used that loophole to bypass the anti-gambling laws in the country.
