Journey to the Underworld
72Hey everyone. I haven’t been on YouTube in a while, and it’s a little different than in the past. Before, even in video-making droughts, I’d still check up on my page and respond to comments and stuff. But now I haven’t even been checking my page to see if any new comments have come in. There are two things I want to share with you:
1. I’m graduating this May with my Undergraduate (Psychology) and Master’s (Education) degrees, and focusing on graduating is one reason I haven’t been uploading videos. Another reason is that my current life circumstances make it mentally difficult for me to produce videos. I know that’s vague, but I hope to explain this in more depth on Conjecture or Everything Else sometime after I graduate.
2. I’m going to be a teacher in the fall! Specifically, a Middle School science teacher in San Antonio, Texas. I’m super excited for that, but I don’t know if I’ll have the time for YouTube while I’m teaching. I hope I don’t stop with YouTube altogether, but it’s a possibility. A slim one, but a possibility. Maybe my channel will change drastically and cover just the things I’m teaching and learning from my students, or maybe it’ll flourish. Maybe it’ll stop altogether. I certainly don’t know.
So that’s it! Basically life has gotten in the way of YouTube more than it ever had before, and I don’t know if that will continue when I’m a teacher. For everyone reading this: thank you. It’s really cool that people online like to see the things I make :)
