Recently, JSON Forms 2.0 was released and it represents a major milestone in improving the support for web-based UIs in the Eclipse EMF Forms project. EMF Forms continues to be one of the most active projects at Eclipse and JSON Forms is a component of EMF Forms to support creating web-based form UIs. It leverages JSON Schema as a data model and is built based on React and Redux.

In this presentation we present and demo the new features and explain the changes that are shipping with JSON Forms 2.0. In particular, we will discuss the native support for React-based web applications and the radical simplification of custom renderers by integrating JSX. We demonstrate the React-based Material UI renderer set and an Ionic renderer set that can be used in mobile applications. Furthermore, we show how to use JSON Forms in a web components-based application.

If you are thinking about creating web applications including form-based UIs or if you already use JSON Forms 1.x or EMF Forms, this talk is for you.
