Judicial Immunity Denied for Judge who Searched Home (Gibson v. Goldston)
5,367A West Virginia District Court has ruled that Family Court Judge Louise Goldston did not have Judicial Immunity when she executed a search of Matthew Gibson's home. Like Qualified Immunity, Judicial Immunity protects Judges from lawsuits. Judge Goldston will now have to face a trial over whether she violated Mr. Gibson's civil rights with her extra-judicial search.
