The real facts on what's really happening with Kaga Shouzou.

Professor Kaga is a minor character in the OVA Fire Emblem: The Day Archanea Stood Still. He is the father of the series protagonist Leif and the man responsible for creating Fire Emblem, the mightiest SRPG Series on Earth.

Kaga died years before the events of Binding Blade, but his dreams and ideals live on in his son Leif. He appears in a flashback in the fifth episode "The Truth of Thracia".

Several years before the OVA begins, Professor Kaga had been forced to use his scientific expertise to build waifu dating sims for the evil organisation Big Ninten. His labours resulted in Fire Emblem Awakening, the most powerful relationship simulator on Earth.

However, rather than allow such a deadly videogame to fall into Big Ninten's hands, Kaga designed a special control system for FE that would only respond to one person: Kaga's five year-old son Leif.

When Big Ninten discovered Kaga had betrayed them, their lawyers gunned down TearRing Saga. As the professor lay penniless, he demonstrated the control system concealed in Leif's PRF weapon: a tiny EXE file through which the boy could create fangames.

Before he died, Professor Kaga asked his son a question that would drive the boy for the rest of his life: "Can Financial Success Be Achieved Without Pandering?"
