The TRANSITION series shows the trinity of the Factory Prime sound, represented by Aszent, Kaminski and David Sharife. Each with a style of their own, there is a thing they share in common: a passion for the energy of sound.
Aszent's approach to this collective EP, called MODUL8, carries a melodic tension that builds on the track. There is a fair amount of force in the bottom end that pushes the motif of the surging synth into a mind-modulating journey. Kaminski takes a darker route. CIRCUIT DEVIATION is an on-point representation of retrofuturistic Techno. Squeaky, circuit-bending-like computer sounds flutter through a bleak atmosphere and make this piece a cinematic excursion to the roots of a retro sci-fi fantasy. With DOPAMINE David Sharife draws a synesthetic picture of what happens during the climax of a rave. The track is arranged around a pumping, high-energy pattern that oscillates restlessly between pulling and pushing on your synaptic receptors.
