Kast + Discord Tutorial AFAFP (READ WARNING IN DESCRIPTION)
[UPDATE July 2022] Kast is pretty much completely out of style now, and my friends and I all switched to Syncplay. So this video is probably horribly outdated, and I can't offer significant troubleshooting for it anymore. But I'm leaving it up for now, in case someone finds it useful for some reason.
WARNING: If you follow along with this tutorial while also watching it on the PC that you want to Kast with, you will be unable to hear me for the middle section of the video (starting at 6:14). It is recommended to watch the tutorial on an OTHER device, like a phone. If you don't have a way to watch it on a separate device, you may want to watch the whole video before you begin following my instructions, so you can attempt to execute them from memory.
Also, my background came from Temmie Chang's Twitter. Never intended to show it off, but I feel like I should link the original regardless: https://twitter.com/tuyoki/status/1157654483868028930
All AFAFP videos come with no guarantee, and I can't be held responsible for any negative results. So please try not to destroy your computer or cause the extinction of the human race. Voicemeeter Banana: https://www.vb-audio.com/Voicemeeter/banana.htm

Addenda:
1. If you're experiencing the bug where Discord UI sounds come through the Normal-Ass channel instead of the AUX channel, check the pinned post's thread where I posted two possible solutions for it.
2. Kast recently started muting my "mic" button every time I launch it. Note that the "mic" button in Kast is actually the show's audio if you're using this guide. So, as the host, you'll need to un-mute your "mic" in Kast, otherwise your lobby won't be able to hear the show. (This won't cause your voice to be transmitted through Kast, as long as you set your input device to "Computer's Audio" as shown in this guide at 10:40.)
3. If you hear voices of guests echoing, they may just need to mute their mics in Kast. Also, I said to use the default output device at 10:21, but this only REALLY matters for guests. As the host, you shouldn't be hearing ANYTHING through Kast itself.
4. Adjust the volume of the show (in the player or browser) to whatever works best for your party (excluding you). You only have to get the volume CLOSE to being right for them, as each user can click on your name in Kast to tweak the volume specifically for them. Pick a volume that works best for your PARTY and not for you, because you can adjust the show's volume for yourself with the "Fader Gain" slider on the "normal-ass" channel in VoiceMeeter Banana. (The Fader Gain only changes the volume for you, before the audio is forwarded to the A1 output, and it does not affect what the lobby hears.)
5. During the "teardown" at 12:36, if you switch between your speakers and headphones during normal day-to-day activities, you may want to set Discord's output device to "Default Device" instead of choosing either your headphones or speakers individually. (This is something you SHOULD know if you're used to configuring audio in Discord, but worth mentioning for those who are not savvy on these things. Just return the setting to whatever you'd normally use.)
6. If you followed all of the steps and your friends still can't hear the show, go into the audio settings in Kast (the round button with the gear icon), and make sure that your input is set to "Open Mic" and not "Push to Talk". I don't know if this is actually needed, but just a thought.
