Katherine Waterston reveals that costumes were very important to her portrayal of her character and look in 'Inherent Vice' and admits she has always wanted to be an actress. Inherent Vice movie synopsis:

Los Angeles, 1970. Private investigator Larry "Doc" Sportello (Joaquin Phoenix) receives a visit from an ex-girlfriend who's now having an affair with real estate mogul Mickey Wolfmann (Eric Roberts). She wants his help in foiling a plot by Mickey's wife and her lover, to have Mickey admitted to a mental health institution.

Based on the novel by Thomas Pynchon.
