KDE Academy held in Barcelona, Spain Key KDE developer Kai Uwe, who published the summary of the conference, stated that the popular topic at this year's annual KDE meeting is porting to Qt 6 and KDE Frameworks 6 development. KDE developers who decided to freeze the features in KDE Framework 5 at the end of December, thus decided that KDE Plasma 5.27 will be the last feature release in the Plasma 5 series. KDE Plasma 5.27, scheduled for release next February, will be the final version of the Plasma 5 series, which has been in use for nearly eight years. Uwe stated that Qt's tools have improved a lot since then and it is now possible to save namespaces; He stated that Qt 6 and Fameworks 6 are also a big topic for him at this Academy. Uwe; He said he thought the KDE Academy conference was a good incoming conference.
