Kershaw Comeback Knife Review
From Kershaw's budget line of knives, made in China.
Note: Judged straight from the factory/vendor, no pre-disassembly.
Fit & Finish (?? Points)
Weight: 4.5 ounces
Blade/Handle Ratio: Excellent
Blade Centered: Slightly off to the left
Blade Style/Grind: Drop Point/Flat Grind
Jimping: Yes, works on flipper
Detent: medium/hard
Lockup: Frame lock 40%, could be lessing spacing for the cutout
Branding: Could be smaller on reverse-side
Hardware: Nice looking pivot, all body screws countersunk
Clip: Nice looking design, felt in hand, medium fit into pants
Seems like a lost opportunity to provide a lanyard option.
Handle Materials (?? Points)
Steel, Gray color, slight stonewash.
Nice cutout to presentation scale get to frame lock
Four finger grip
Feels good in hand
Barely feel clip, not uncomfortable
Backspacer compliments the scales
Steel (?? Points)
Nice drop point
Jimping not usable but nice touch
Very sharp from factory
Feel steel could have been upgraded
Nice stonewash
Ergonomics (?? Points)
Great flipper, detent is very good
Good feel, a bit heavy for a small blade
All edges round over
Overall feels average to good in hand
Fidgetability (?? Points)
Great smooth action
Drop shutty right from factory
Access to the frame lock is easy making it nice to open and close
Design (?? Points)
Overall I like the design. It almost has a look at not feeling budget. If the added some flair to the cutout in presentation side a better material for the backspacer, an upgrade the steel for the blade it would be perfect.
The spacing for the frame lock cutout hurts that side of the knife.
