A defective cord or damaged USB Port. Does the issue continue if the keyboard is connected to a different USB Port? (If yes, this indicates the cord has incurred some damage internally.) If moving the wired keyboard to another USB Port cause the issue to ‘disappear’, then the original USB Port where is was connected in the first place has some damage. The USB Port needs to be closely examined using a flashlight and possibly the magnifying view of a Smartphone camera.
Lastly, the wired USB keyboard could also be tested on a different computer. If the wired keyboard issue happens on EVERY USB Port of one computer and not on the second computer, then it is possible the USB Port controller chip (possibly the South Bridge controller chip) has been damaged in the first (#1) computer
