Blast from the past!

Btw I ment 2s lipo (similar to a 7.2v Nicad from back in the day)

Keyence H-610 helicopter flying with a power tether in 2023. I am very surprised that this flys at all and I am even more surprised at how well it actually does fly.

The way the rotor head works is very interesting and is unlike any helicopter I have flown to date.

Here is some good info:

Some thoughts regarding flight performance.

The helicopter seems less stable with a battery but it is flyable.

Be mindful of the tether because it can clump and if the helicopter attempts to pickup the weight of the clump of wire it may result in a crash.

This model is for experienced pilots only. The helicopter may be surprisingly stable but the cyclic control is very soft so keeping this model centered in a room takes a lot of pilot inputs. I've been flying RC helicopters for years and I can make it looksy easy...but I have to stay very focused with this helicopter....and that makes it fun.

Btw...I mentioned using glue on the blades. I used foam tac glue and it makes a very strong bond...wait 24 hrs before using. I took a risk since getting parts is hard but I don't recommend this especially if you can get new blades.
