A mass brawl began, during which members of the Nurmagomedov team jumped into the ring, some of whom exchanged blows with McGregor.
The champion’s belt was not handed to Nurmagomedov in the ring, and he, like the loser, was taken to the back rooms of the stadium. Nurmagomedov's fee ($ 2 million) was withheld until the circumstances were clarified by the Nevada Athletic Commission, which authorized the fight. According to media reports, Nurmagomedov could face a fine and a ban on speaking at the UFS, as a result of which, according to Dana White, Khabib could be stripped of his champion title.
