Kholat PC gameplay 1080p AMD R9 270X OC with intel i3-4160
My thoughts:
This was my first experience with a game that amounts to a spooky walking sim. An interesting experience and not one I'd necessarily avoid in the future. My complaints are the bare min. interface that doesn't guide you in anyway. The map doesn't tell you where you are and there is no way-point. Also the compass is confusing because the directions for North and South are in Russian, SO N = C. I get the reasons for the decision based on the games story but a little heads up would have been nice.
Now back to the whole navigating thing. It should really be a difficultly. Some people might really enjoy the unaided element to it but if your not one of those people the game will be frustrating as you'll literally go in circles.
As for the enemies in the game as you can see i was a good 40min. in before I ever encountered one, had zero warning, no chance to evade and it was a one hit kill. Again, all things some people might enjoy but a one time heads up would have been cool.
Now for the oddest part. I actually do want to give this game another shot. Something oddly captivating about wandering around the wood. If the game does one thing right is that the atmosphere is great. I did some research about navigating and dealing with the enemies and want to give the game another try. Its not for everyone but there is something compiling about this game.
