Hi everyone! This is Owen's mom (user name aylasaur). I wanted to let everyone know that we have gotten away from doing random drawings in giveaways because we want to build a community around this channel. This is why we do questions and tasks instead. It's okay to be a new viewer but we have to be strict to prevent anyone from just giving any old answer to save the first spot and then correcting it later. We make this very easy, you just have to pay attention. Just remember:
1) You only get one try. We receive an email when someone answers so we know if the answer is changed.
2) Spelling and grammar counts. That means capitals, commas, etc. Again, this is to prevent thoughtless answers. When someone takes the time to look things up and write correctly, it should be rewarded.
3) If you just subscribed, it may take a bit for it to show on our list. If you are not on the sub list when you answer, you cannot win. We have to enforce the subscriber rule because we want to prevent subscribing/unsubscribing just to get the giveaway. We also want to encourage commenting, so if you comment, we'll get to know you and we will already know you're a fan.
This is a small channel, so Owen interacts with the viewers. These giveaways are really intended to reward loyal viewers so we hope that once you subscribe, you'll stick around. There will be more giveaway opportunities this month and beyond. We buy a lot of LEGO sets and rack up points with the LEGO store, so we get duplicates and free items all the time. Those are the giveaways. If you want to win, stick around and be a viewer. It will happen eventually.
