In this video I talk about the negative effects of microtransactions from the perspective of gamers, with specific focus on one unfortunate guy who found his son had run up a huge debt.

Fortunately Microsoft refunded the money in this case, but that in no way takes away from the fact that microtransactions are a bad thing, at least in AAA games.
