Killer Instinct Definitive Edition was originally released in 2016. I love the heavy rock inspired soundtrack, creative character design, crushing multi-hit combos, and gorgeous graphics, and precise controls. Killer Instinct was probably the first fighting game to ever hit that coveted 4K 60 frames per second graphical achievement before any of the other big names like Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter etc. It is exclusive to the XBOX platform and performs incredibly well on the newest XBOX Series X. In this clip I pit CPU vs CPU and am just a spectator. I am not the one winning or losing.

Back in 1997 I was obsessed with being the best at Killer Instinct and obliterating opponents. I spent so much spare time practicing on the Nintendo Ultra 64 version of Killer Instinct 2 Gold Edition of this game and became an unstoppable, cocky master. I probably could have competed in EVO if they included the game in that tournament because I was that good. Roll forward to 2021 and I'm pretty rusty and not very good anymore, but I still love the nostalgia.
