Kingdom Hearts 2 Part 102: The End
Here we are, closing out yet another game on the list and with it, I have to give my final thoughts on the game. So, overall, I really enjoyed this game; the combat system was really fluid and felt almost like a spectacle fighter. I liked the varying worlds as well as the worlds that they brought back. It had some pretty solid voice acting (with the exception of a few characters like Aeris who sounded very weird) and the music was really good. I liked that we didn't just visited the worlds just once and we got to spend much more time exploring them. The crafting system was actually pretty good within this game since it didn't require you to build every item within the list in order to move on to get more recipes; I would love for there to be even more items to build in the next game. The drop of craftable items is actually much higher in the Final Mix Version of the game than the original; I hoping they don't do something like that again in the Third game, Here's to hoping they put a frequent drop rate like in the final mix versions in the normal versions. I did feel like they focused a little too much on mini-games (like in Twilight Town and Atlantica); I would have loved to have more underwater combat (hopefully with some better controls). The opening was really slow paced and almost felt somewhat tedious but I understand that they were trying to get people who didn't play their DS spin off an understanding of who Roxas was and where he ended up. The Pirate of the Caribbean world felt very odd since they tried to go for more of a realistic approach (all the other worlds were cartoony) which just looked a little silly. Mostly, I blame the hardware at time; if they tried to pull that off now with a PS4, it would look much better (hopefully) but, even still, it felt a little out of place with the rest of the characters. Overall, as I've said, I really enjoy this game even with it's flaws and I'm hyped about the upcoming sequel which is said to be the last of the series (that's Kingdom Hearts 3, just in case they try and continue branching out past that game).
