Developed and published by FromSoftware and released on 21st July 1995 in Japan, and later under just "King's Field" on 14th February 1996 in North America, "King's Field II" is the sequel to their previous game from 1994 on the Playstation 1.

We play as the Granitiki prince Aleph/Alexander who sailed to the island of Melanat to retrieve the Moonlight Sword for King Alfred of the kingdom of Verdite. However, our ship was caught in a storm and sunk and, with Aleph/Alex being the sole survivor, we must venture deep into the island to recover the sword.
