Welcome, adventurers! Join me for the latest installment in my long-running series of cursed playthroughs of King’s Quest: Quest for the Crown — this time on the Sega Master System. Originally designed by the legendary Roberta Williams, this 1989 port reimagines Sir Graham’s quest to save the Kingdom of Daventry with unique tile and sprite-based graphics and a context-sensitive verb interface.

You might be wondering, “Why is this playthrough cursed?” Well, let’s just say that every time I try to play King's Quest I, things go spectacularly wrong. And guess what? This time is no different! Get ready for tricky puzzles, clunky verb/noun interfaces, technical difficulties, and plenty of my own terrible decisions.

If you’re into vintage gaming, classic adventure games, or just want to see the debut of Goblin Graham, this is the video for you! Expect retro King's Quest gameplay, Sega Master System nostalgia, and plenty of “WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?” moments. Don't forget to like and subscribe for more retro adventure gaming, and be sure to share some of your favorite King's Quest moments in the comments.

ABOUT ME
I'm Jess (he/him), a lifelong gamer and retro variety streamer from West Virginia, USA. I mostly play adventure games from the '80s and '90s (think King's Quest and Monkey Island), but I also stream newer titles, bad licensed games, and other random stuff that grabs my attention. Lately, I've been obsessed with catching up on the Zelda series. I stream on Twitch every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday night around 9:30 p.m. Eastern. Drop by and join the fun sometime!
