I played through the full Japanese version of King's Quest V on CD-ROM for the Fujitsu FM Towns computer. I used the UNZ emulator and an image from the Neo Kobe archive. Google it if you need more info. The game boots directly from the CD. You'll need a blank DOS-formatted floppy disk image to save your game.

The voices are provided as PCM audio by the Ricoh RF5c68, and the music by the Yamaha YM2612, also known as OPN2. This is the same FM synthesis chip used in the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive.

I made a few cuts to the video. I messed up throwing the boot at the cat and had to restore. I restarted the emulator a couple of times to fix some sound bugs in the mountains. And I cut out some terrible luck getting the blue meanie to appear in Mordack's castle, but left in Mordack showing poor Graham no mercy.
